Loharo exists to help professionals make better commercial decisions. That only works if readers can trust what we publish and can see clearly how sure we are. These standards explain how we work.
1. Facts, analysis and uncertainty
We distinguish between what is confirmed, what is our interpretation and what is still unknown. Every article carries one of four verification labels:
- Verified: every factual claim has been checked against a primary source, such as an official notice, regulatory filing, company statement or official statistic.
- Partially verified: the core facts are confirmed, but some figures come from secondary or market sources (for example, proprietary price assessments as reported by trade media). Unconfirmed points are identified in the text.
- Analysis: interpretation and commercial assessment by Loharo, built on cited facts. It is informed opinion, not fact.
- Developing: the story is still moving and details may change. We update it as facts are confirmed and show the date of each update.
The rule in short: Verified = every factual claim checked against a primary source; Partially verified = core facts confirmed, some figures from secondary/market sources; Analysis = interpretation; Developing = story still moving.
Inside articles we also label individual statements. Unlabelled statements in “What happened” are sourced facts. Analysis marks our interpretation, Uncertain marks something reported but not confirmed (for example, market talk), and in the Key numbers panel Fact means checked against the cited source and Calc. means a Loharo calculation from cited figures. “Why it matters commercially”, “Who is affected” and “What to watch next” are mainly our analysis.
2. Sourcing
- We prefer primary sources and link to them wherever possible.
- Every article lists its primary and supporting sources.
- Figures are reported with units, currency, delivery basis (for example EXW, FOB or CIF) and dates. Where sources disagree, we say so.
- We do not invent, embellish or composite quotes, data or sources.
Images. Images on Loharo are AI-assisted illustrations, not photographs of specific events, places or people. They are captioned “Illustration” and are never presented as news photography. Facts are carried by the text and its sources, not by the images.
3. AI-assisted drafting and fact-checking
We use artificial intelligence to monitor sources, summarise long documents and research and write articles. Articles are researched and written with artificial intelligence, checked against primary sources and labelled with their verification status. There is no human approval step before publication; Loharo’s editor oversees the process and corrects errors openly. We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, data or sources, and we do not present AI-generated images as real photographs.
4. Corrections and updates
- We correct factual errors promptly. A dated correction note at the end of the article explains what changed.
- Material updates to a story are shown with an “Updated” date beneath the headline.
- To report an error, email contact@loharo.com with the article link and the correction you believe is needed. We aim to respond within two working days.
5. Independence
Editorial decisions are made by Loharo alone. Editorial content is not paid for by the companies or organisations we cover. If we ever publish sponsored or partner content, it will be clearly labelled as such.
6. Not investment advice
Loharo provides information and analysis for professional readers. Nothing we publish is investment, financial, legal or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any product, commodity or security. See our Terms of Use.
